Enable email alerts
Open notification settings
Go to Settings → Notifications. The Email section appears at the top of the page.
Turn on email alerts
Toggle Email alerts on. NearIQ will start sending alerts to your account email by default.
Set a notification address
Enter a different address in the Notification email field if you want alerts delivered somewhere other than your login email — for example, a shared team inbox. The two addresses are independent; changing one does not affect the other.
Delivery mode: real-time vs. digest
- Real-time (Growth+)
- Daily digest
- Weekly digest
Growth, Agency, and Enterprise plans receive alerts as they fire. Each triggering event sends a separate email within minutes of detection. To use real-time delivery, set Digest frequency to Never in the Email section of notification settings.
Minimum severity filter
Every alert has a severity level. The Minimum severity setting suppresses alerts below your chosen threshold so low-signal noise does not crowd out high-priority events.| Level | What it includes |
|---|---|
info | All alerts, including routine changes (default) |
warning | Moderate signals — meaningful changes worth reviewing |
opportunity | High-signal events with a clear competitive implication |
danger | Urgent alerts requiring immediate attention |
warning, for example, means you receive warning, opportunity, and danger alerts but not info-level ones.
To change the threshold, open Settings → Notifications, find Minimum severity, and select the level you want.
Alert type toggles
You have individual on/off toggles for all 11 alert types. By default, all types are enabled. Disable any type to stop receiving those specific emails.Competitor alerts
