NearIQ sends email notifications whenever a tracked competitor or your own listing changes. You can receive alerts the moment they fire, or collect them into a daily or weekly digest — and you can limit which alert types land in your inbox.

Enable email alerts

1

Open notification settings

Go to Settings → Notifications. The Email section appears at the top of the page.
2

Turn on email alerts

Toggle Email alerts on. NearIQ will start sending alerts to your account email by default.
3

Set a notification address

Enter a different address in the Notification email field if you want alerts delivered somewhere other than your login email — for example, a shared team inbox. The two addresses are independent; changing one does not affect the other.
4

Save

Click Save preferences. A confirmation toast confirms the change.

Delivery mode: real-time vs. digest

Growth, Agency, and Enterprise plans receive alerts as they fire. Each triggering event sends a separate email within minutes of detection. To use real-time delivery, set Digest frequency to Never in the Email section of notification settings.
Real-time delivery is best when you want to act on competitor changes quickly — for example, reacting to a rating drop or a sudden review surge before it widens.

Minimum severity filter

Every alert has a severity level. The Minimum severity setting suppresses alerts below your chosen threshold so low-signal noise does not crowd out high-priority events.
LevelWhat it includes
infoAll alerts, including routine changes (default)
warningModerate signals — meaningful changes worth reviewing
opportunityHigh-signal events with a clear competitive implication
dangerUrgent alerts requiring immediate attention
Setting the filter to warning, for example, means you receive warning, opportunity, and danger alerts but not info-level ones. To change the threshold, open Settings → Notifications, find Minimum severity, and select the level you want.

Alert type toggles

You have individual on/off toggles for all 11 alert types. By default, all types are enabled. Disable any type to stop receiving those specific emails.
