A team workspace gives everyone on your team a single shared view of your competitors. Every member sees the same competitors, alerts, analytics, and reports — no duplicate setups, no data silos. Access is controlled per member through a role and permission system so you can give each person exactly the access they need.

Plan requirements

Team workspaces are available on the following plans:

Enterprise

$499 / monthUp to 10 team seats and one shared workspace.

Scale

$999 / monthUp to 25 team seats and multiple team workspaces.

Unlimited

Custom pricingUnlimited team seats and unlimited business locations.
Each team member’s access is covered by the team plan — invited members don’t need their own NearIQ subscription.

Creating a workspace

1

Go to Settings → Team

In the NearIQ app, open Settings and select the Team tab.
2

Create a workspace

Click Create workspace and give it a name (for example, the client name or region it covers).
3

Invite team members

Enter each person’s email address in the Invite teammates field and send the invitation. They’ll receive an email with an invite link.

How invited members join

When you send an invite, the recipient receives an email with a link. They click the link, sign up or log in to NearIQ, and are automatically added to your organization’s workspace. Once they’ve joined, they can access all data their permissions allow.
Members you invite don’t need to be on a paid individual plan. The team plan covers their access entirely.

Roles

Every workspace member has one of three roles:
RoleDescription
OwnerFull access to all features, settings, billing, and team management. Cannot be removed by other members.
AdminCan manage team members (invite and remove), configure the workspace, and access all features except billing by default.
MemberAccess is determined entirely by the permissions you assign. No capabilities beyond what’s explicitly granted.

Permissions

Member permissions are configured per person. Admins and Owners can adjust any member’s permissions from Settings → Team. Permissions are grouped into five categories:
Controls access to the competitor tracking core.
PermissionWhat it allows
View competitors & snapshotsView all tracked competitors and their snapshot data
Add competitorsAdd new competitors to the workspace
Remove competitorsRemove existing competitors from the workspace

Multiple workspaces

On the Scale and Unlimited plans you can create more than one team workspace. This is useful if you manage multiple clients or regions and want to keep their competitor data fully separated. Each workspace has its own competitor list, alert history, and member roster. Members can belong to more than one workspace, and their permissions can differ between workspaces.
Multiple workspaces are not available on the Enterprise plan. If you need this feature, consider upgrading to Scale.
